Acupuncture

The clinic offers acupuncture as a complimentary treatment for acute mechanical injuries like sciatica or muscle injuries as well as non-specific problems like insomnia, migraines, stress reduction, low energy levels and fatigue. As acupuncture is based on unblocking the body’s meridian lines which run throughout the body and its critical organs, acupuncture treatment is also used to support general well being and healthy organ function.

Let’s face it though, some people are scared of needles and we understand the reticence and anxiety you may have in having an acupuncture treatment. Although acupuncture treatment can sometimes feel uncomfortable, often patients are not even aware that they have had a needle inserted into place.

Gail Sumner is the clinic’s specialist acupuncturist with over 23 year’s experience in acupuncture. Gail is qualified with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapy.

Gail takes every care to make people comfortable and explain the process and what to expect when receiving your acupuncture treatment.

You are in control of how much treatment you receive and when you want to stop it.
We provide a safe, clean, and calm environment for treating patients with acupuncture.

Acupuncture generally works best in sessions of 4-6 treatments and is administered at the Chronic Health Recovery Clinic in Westhoughton, Bolton. We are close to Manchester and junction 6 off the M65.
